I did completely wipe out Windows & ran another OS on the machine prior to reinstalling. I will get back to you... there is not one present or 2. If I understand your setup correctly, it should be ethernet cable going from the wall to the switch and from the switch to the PC.

You need to go to your computer manufacturers web site - support and drivers ( on another computer, of course, and find the drivers for your model. Is there something plugged into the 1394 port? If your cable modem came with a CD, insert the CD into the optical drive to run the software and connect to the Internet. I also do not see "onboard Lan" or "modem" drivers.
