Installing Acrobat or Reader 11.0 breaks this feature. I have gone into Indexing Options->Advanced->File types->pdf->Index Properties and File Contents but that did not solve the problem that I share with JayCee. Then decided to go Adobe and downloaded the Adobe ifilter from their site. It turns out that fixing the iFilter will only fix new documents, not the one that Windows Search has already indexed.
