LOL I was thinking you guys were all full of doo doo and some one was just trying to ruin my project here.

Couple things to add: 1. I think the LCD connector came off whilst iPod was on! Once you've finished testing it just turn the iPod back off by holding down the power button and sliding to power off again. It worked for me by simply removing the metal plate, I never even got to the point of trying to short terminal 3...

Once the slide to unlock screen comes up, slide your finger and make sure the touch screen is responsive. Place the camera shield on the new assembly.
