I think it all has to do with a true system reset, and for me I could only achieve that using the 10 steps above. Detach your printer first. So I removed it from the glass, and put it back to lower location (about 1 mm lower than the original location). Many times, the printer will start to print before trying to find "home." After it prints the page, it automatically goes back to home position.
Carriage rod is not lubricated¶ The carriage rod suspends the print carriage, and allows the print carriage to move smoothly. This is a worthless device if everyone is expected to routinely bust it down to parts and reassemble it in order to get this "all-in-one" to workCarly should be making house if anyone has any information to help me please do so as I am a lost puppy!!!! When turning on the computer, the initialization process has the scanner head inching its way to the right until it eventually slams into the right end under the control panel. Printer will then print out all of the sheets it tried to print before the printer went down.Hope this helps.
