Other People... After reading the handy guys reply, we replaced the batteries and the thermostat reset. You simply have to replace the blown fuse. Thank you very much for your help. The temperature has been extremely cold recently so, from what you are describing, it is possible there is nothing wrong with the system all. I am planning on running a newer wire myself this weekend. We changed the thermostat today and switched it off but the heater is still on. Additionally, if these are not heat pumps have you checked the outdoor units (condensers) to make sure they are running when you call for cooling? Put old thermostat on and that will not power on again.

My thermostat is blank the fan part works and every now n then I can keep hitting reset to get it to work for lil bit. As with any switch, it needs electricity to function or cause a function with the air conditioning and heating equipment.

I put in new batteries and it still did not work. If the panel is blank, does that mean the system can't follow the program? Would this be the answer? Dual system, upstairs and downstairs.
Additionally, the correct type of wire needs to be used in running the the wire from the thermostat to where the thermistor is located. I tried new batteries. Good Luck!!
